City tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge 7th Edition launched

The 2024 City Tyres EastAfrican Badminton Challenge returns bigger and better thanks to the well preserved relationship between Uganda Badminton Association and Mandela group of Companies.

The 7th Edition on the tournament was launched at City Tyres Head Offices in Industrial area along 6th street on Wednesday 18th September

The action will shuttle off on 17th October and climax on 20th at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Uganda Badminton Association CEO Simon Mugabi tried to explain the new registration method;

“This is one of the special events in Uganda Badminton, it is always brings a lot of participants at youth, Adults and Co-operates competing in team and Individual events”

“Following the launch, Registration switched to being done online registration being brought in the contention.”

“With this launch the registration has immediately started with a provision of scanning our QR code to register.”

“For the event which occurs on annual basis players from Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, DR Congo, Burundi and South Sudan are expected to take part in it.” Mugabi concluded

For Uganda Badminton Association President Annet Nakamya, she had huge praise for Mandela group of Companies through their Brand City Tyres for keeping trust in the association:

“Mandela group of Companies is back to renew our partnership for the 7th time, this is a very important Badminton event which gives values of participating to our players”

“The players who started young to participate in this event 7 today are the top players we have in the country and at Africa continent”

Mandela group of Companies Chief Marketing manager Herbert Bashasha confirmed that he expects the team to do better;

“We are ready and going to fully sponsor this tournament. This is the 7th time we have sponsored the tournament.”

“This year we expect the teams to do much better and it’s very important to acknowledge that we support team Uganda.”
