The Uganda Cranes will know their group stages opponents on Monday 17th, February during the 2020 CHAN draw ceremony in Youde, Cameroon.
Uganda are seeded in Pot 3 alongside Congo, Namibia and Burkina Faso
Uganda will be represented by the Deputy FUFA CEO incharge of football Decoras Kiiza. Kiiza will also get a chance to tour all stadiums and Hotels to be used during the tournament.
Neighbours Tanzania, whose last appearance was in the inaugural 2009 tournament are seeded in Pot 4 with Zimbabwe,Niger and Togo
The four Pots consisting of the 16 qualified teams were decided on the basis of a ranking established taking into account the performances at the past editions of the final tournament designed exclusively for footballers playing in their domestic leagues.
Cameroon legends Stephen Tataw and Salomon Olembe will assist CAF Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu in the draw process for the final tournament of the Total African Nations Championship Cameroon 2020.
The 2020 CHAN final will run from 4th – 25th April 2020 in the cities of Yaounde,Douala and Limbe.
