On Saturday evening, Bul FC from Uganda drew with Egyptian side Future FC in their first  continental experience at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

This was the first time both clubs reached the CAF confederation cup preminarly round. Something that adds points to a club’s CV across the continent.

The game started with Alex Isabirye’s charges showing lots of confidence and desire to press from the front a trap that the Future players tried to get past in the opening five minutes forcing two fouls from Kazindula.

The first being a foul in second minute and the second in the fifth minute after handling a Omar Kamal ball at the edge of the box.

Hillary Onek also got a chance at the edge of the box, missing it only to keep the game at stalemate just like Omar Kamal for the visitors in the ninth minute.

Both Ahmed Atef and Mohamed Farouk nearly scored from close range but their efforts were saved by BUL goalkeeper Saidi Keni sending the first half in a stalemate.

At the start of the second half, BUL made a  change bringing Reagan Kalyowa for Emmanuel Obua but the story didn’t change with cordination in the final third still being the problem.

Ismael Mugulusi gave some work to Mahmoud Abdelrehim to do through his long range effort for a save in return.

In the 56th minute, the visitors made their first change of the game replacing Ahmed Atef with Marwan Mohsen and BUL with their second with Hilary Onek replacing Martin Aprem.

With continued coordination issues in the patterns on the field of play, Isabirye again made another change with Anthony Mayanja coming on for Simon Peter Oketch a change that didn’t yield anything only for the game to end in stalemate.
