BUL FC: club to play remaining home games without fans

Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL) FC will play their remaining StarTimes Uganda Premier League games without fans for violating the FUFA COVID-19 regulations.

This comes after disciplinary proceedings were opened against the Club for allowing fans into the Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe, Jinja, on Saturday 24th April 2021 when they hosted Busoga United in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game, an act deemed contravening to the league organisers’ rules and regulations.

According to the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel, majority of the fans that were allowed into the stadium had no face masks which was contrary to Article 11(1) of the FUFA COVID-19 regulations.

Following closure of proceedings, the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has sanctioned BUL FC to play their five remaining StarTimes Uganda Premier League games with no fans.

BUL FC sits ninth on the log with 25 points garnered in 21 games. They are just six points above the relegation line with nine games to go.
