BUGANDA REGIONAL: Busula demoted, Lugazi Municipal, Busiro United and Synergy docked points

Busula SC have been demoted from the Buganda Regional League after failing to honor three league games.

Busula failed to honor match day No. 49 (Busula SC Vs Butema Soccer Masters) at home, NO. 55 (Simba Vs FC Vs Busula SC) and NO. 67 (Seeta United Vs Busula SC)

In accordance with FUFA competitions rules Busula are automatically relegated to the 5th division

Decision:

As per Article 24 (11 (c)) of the FUFA Competition rules that states “ Any club in a league format that does not turn up for three (3) fixtures in a season and their explanation, under Article 24(4), is not accepted in all the
three(3) incidences shall be:
11 (C) Demoted to the respective 5th Division if the defaulting club plays in the 3rd Division League;
Therefore; Busula SC is demoted to the FUFA 5th Division league of 2020-21

In accordance to Article 24(12) that states “If a club withdraws or is
dismissed /demoted from a competition of the league format when it has
played less than 50% of the league, the results involving the withdrawn or
dismissed club shall be nullified. ” Therefore; all results involving Busula SC
are nullified

The committee has also taken action on the matches which were not played and those which were abandoned

Match No. 139 of Synergy FC vs. Kiyinda Boys Fc on the Buganda
Regional League fixture as scheduled for 7th January, 2020 at Kasana Playground Masaka, the match was not played.

Findings and Observations:

The Match was not played due to other teams taking over the Playground at the time of the match.

Decision:

In accordance to Article 15 (2(g)) of the FUFA Competitions Rules that states “It shall be the responsibility of the home club to hire the stadium (if applicable) for match days (TV matches inclusive) and observing any eventualities that may interrupt with the scheduled matches. Any home club that fails to monitor events at the stadium and such omission causes abandonment of the match shall lose the match by forfeiture. ” Therefore, Synergy FC loses the match by forfeiture to Kiyinda Boyz FC

Match No.50 of Free Stars FC vs. Uganda Martyrs SS FC on the Buganda
Regional League fixture as scheduled for 4th January, 2020 at UCU Mukono old Playground, the match was not played.

Findings and Observations:

Uganda Martyrs SS FC didn’t turn-up for the match and no written explanation was given by Uganda Martyrs SS FC

Decisions:

Uganda Martyrs SS FC loses the match by forfeiture and docked three (3) points and three (3) goals from those already accumulated in line with Article 24 (10) of FUFA Competitions Rules.

Lugazi Nabugabo FC vs Lugazi Municipal FC played on 21st December, 2019 at Lugazi Engineering Barracks Playground. The Match was abandoned at 82nd with a score of 01:01.

Findings and Observations:

The Match was abandoned at 82nd Minute with a score of 01: 01 due to the Home team (Lugazi Nabugabo FC) remaining with less than Seven (7) players at the field of play.

Lugazi Nabugabo FC loses the Match by forfeiture to Lugazi Municipal FC.

Match No. 130 of Buwambo United FC vs Busiro United FC on the Buganda Regional League fixture as scheduled for 7th January, 2020 at Buwambo playground, the match was not played.

Findings and Observations:

Busiro United FC didn’t turn-up for the match and a written explanation was received from Busiro United FC on the 22nd January, 2020.

Decisions:

As per Article 24(4) of the FUFA Competitions Rules, the explanation was received past forty eight hours (48hrs)

Busiro United FC loses the match by forfeiture and docked three (3) points and
three (3) goals from those already accumulated in line with Article 24 (10) of FUFA
Competitions Rules.

The Referee for the Match Mr. Ssedunga Jamil is suspended for two months from to
date and further fined 100UAS for failing to submit in the report in time as per Article

Match No. 146 of Kiyinda Boys FC vs. Kampala University Masaka FC on
the Buganda Regional League fixture as scheduled for 15th January, 2020 at Ssaza Ground – Mityana playground, the match was not played.

Findings and Observations:

Kampala University Masaka FC didn’t turn-up for the match and no written
explanation was given by Kampala University Masaka FC

Decisions:

Kampala University Masaka FC loses the match by forfeiture and docked three (3) points and three (3) goals from those already accumulated in line with Article 24 (10) of FUFA Competitions Rules.

Buikwe Red Stars FC’s petition filed on 8th January, 2020 against
Lugazi Municipal FC for fielding an ineligible player shirt No.12 Joseph Ssenyonjo in BRL Match No.6 of Lugazi Municipal FC vs Buikwe Reds Stars FC played on 8th January, 2020 at Mehta Stadium Lugazi.

Findings and Observations:

Shirt No. 12 Joseph Ssenyonjo of Lugazi Municipal FC appeared on the Match Report for Match No. 66 of Lugazi Municipal FC vs Buikwe Red Stars

The Player “Joseph Ssenyonjo” was serving a sendoff in which he had served one physically played match thereby making him ineligible for BRL Match No.66

Ruling:

As per Article 29 (12) of the FUFA Competition rules that states “A player who is directly sent off the field of play during a league competition match
shall automatically become an ineligible player for the next two (2)
physically played matches.” and in accordance with Article 19(19) of the
FUFA Competition Rules that States “A Club that fields an ineligible player
shall lose the match by forfeiture to the opposing team”
Therefore; Lugazi Municipal FC loses the Match by forfeiture to Buikwe Red Stars and the table standings updated accordingly.
