Brian Masaba’s Aziz Damani Scorpions have been declared winners of the inaugural T20 Elite League tournament organized by the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) at the Lugogo cricket oval.

The Final against Royal Varsani Bucks wasn’t played due to heavy down pour which flooded the pitch and the organizers decided to hand the award to Aziz Damani Scorpions who were leading a three team log.

Captain Brian Masaba put up a maiden performance, garnering eight points in the tournament to help his side finish top.

The Royal Varsani Bucks finished second by one point below the winner and Metro Challengers Mambas finishing third by three points less.

Aziz Darmani Scorpions’ Wasim Butt won two individuals accolades which include Man of Series and the Best Bats man and and was presented with Ugx. 500,000 and Ugx. 300,000 for the respective awards.
