Two new faces have been summoned to the Uganda Silverbacks squad by the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association( FUBA) ahead of the FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers next month.

The Silverbacks will play in the rescheduled qualifiers after their games were postponed by FIBA after five members of the Ugandan squad tested positive for COVID-19 in Tunisia.

Ahead of the qualifiers next month, there are two new inclusion in the Silverbacks squad from the team that was already in Tunisia in February.

These are Keiran Zziwa, a guard from the University of Manitoba Bistons and Mohammed Ghedi Abdihakim who plays in USA.
From the twelve players, there are five local based players and seven foreign based.

The Silverbacks, who need only one win to qualify for their third consecutive continental showpiece will face Morocco on July 15 and if they win, they would have qualified.
