The Uganda Under 17 men’s team, the Cubs have been pitted in Pot 2 by African Football governing body, CAF ahead the AFCON U17 finals in Morocco.
The Cubs have been pitted alongside Tanzania and Senegal – Implying that the Cranes will not face any of those teams at group stages.
The draw for the group stages will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon by CAF director of competitions Samson Adamu.
Uganda reached this stage after winning the CECAFA U17 Championship in Rwanda in December, beating Tanzania 3-1 in the finals
This will be the second time the Uganda Cubs play at the AFCON U17 championship, having played at the 2019 finals in Tanzania where they finished third in group A.
They defeated Tanzania, drew with Nigeria and lost to Angola.
The Current champions, Cameroon have been pitted in Pot 1 with Nigeria and hosts, Morocco while Pot 3 consists of South Africa, Algeria, Congo, Mali, Zambia and Cote D’Ivoire.
