AFCON U17: Uganda Cubs drawn in Group A alongside hosts Morocco

Ahead of the AFCON U17 finals in Morocco, the Uganda’s Under 17 men’s team, the Uganda Cubs have been drawn in Group A with hosts Morocco. 

The draws were carried out on Wednesday evening by the CAF director of competitions Samson Adamu at the CAF head quarters.

Zambia and Ivory Coast are the other Cub’s oponnents in group A.

Uganda reached this stage after winning the CECAFA U17 Championship in Rwanda in December, beating Tanzania 3-1 in the finals

This will be the second time the Uganda Cubs play at the AFCON U17 championship, having played at the 2019 finals in Tanzania where they finished third in group A.

All groups:

Group A – Morocco, Uganda, Zambia, Ivory Coast

Group B – Nigeria, Tanzania, Algeria, Congo

Group C – Cameroon, Senegal, Mali, South Africa
