The top three professional winners received a total of UGX8 million in cash prizes from Absa Bank. Michael Segwaya, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, made the announcement during the prize-giving ceremony.

The Magical Kenya Open, one of Africa’s premier golf attractions, started in 1967 and is now part of the DP World Tour. Absa has sponsored various tournaments and supported amateur players to participate in the Magical Kenya Open, helping to expand their perspective and improve their skills.

“At Absa Bank Uganda, we believe in the power of sports to unite communities and inspire individuals,” Segwaya said. “By investing in events like this, we aim to encourage healthy competition and provide a platform for local talent to thrive.”
