URA FC came from two goals down to knock out KCCA FC in a dramatic Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter-final at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Holy Saturday.
KCCA looked in control after first-half and second-half goals from Saidi Mayanja and Herbert Achayi gave them a 2-0 lead. However, URA mounted a late comeback, sparked by John Innocent Kisolo’s long-range strike in the 84th minute before Ronald Otti headed in a stoppage-time equalizer to force extra time.
With no winner after 120 minutes, the game went to penalties, where URA triumphed 4-2. Goalkeeper Muhammed Ssekebba emerged the hero, saving two spot-kicks, while Isma Mugulusi converted the decisive penalty.
URA now advance to the semi-finals alongside Vipers SC, who also progressed after a penalty shootout victory over NEC FC.
