Uganda Rugby Lady Cranes have opened up their campaign with a 27-10 victory against Tunisia at the Rugby Africa Women’s Division one Championship in San Pedro, Ivory Coast today.
Captain Angella Nanyonjo and Lydia Namabiro’s tries were the icing on the cake to Peace Lekuru’s hartrick that yielded one conversion.
Uganda’s next game will be against the hosts, Ivory Coast on Tuesday 15th, April and a final game against Zimbabwe four days later.
The winner of this four nation tournament, played in a round robin formart will secure the sole available spot for the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup to be held in the same city next month (April 11 to 19) joining South Africa, Kenya, and Madagascar.
