The 2022-2023 Futsal Super league Champions are blessed to play the 2024-2025 league opening game against Nansana ASKA.
As they walk into the new season Lubaga shall be with out one of their last season starter Michael Lubowa who left the team for greaner pasture.
Lubowa won last season Golden boot with Lubaga Grameen after bagging league’s seasonal record of 50 goals breaking Suleiman Mutyaba’s 6 year old record of 48.
Starting life without a player of his callibar Grameen’s head coach Musa Kalule weighed the situation
“It is very challenging that it is the time we target to win back the league we won in 2023, chessing that without Michael Lubowa we will need to improve our team player per player, yes we got some new faces but in Lubowa we lost a top scorer.”
Opening our campaign against Nansana ASKA is also another task, Aska is a good team but we ready for them, the only target this season is to win the league and we have to start with a good result”
In 2023-2024 the Grameens finished third behind winners Park FC and FC Luzira who finished second.
The game shall be hounored at Old Kampala Futsal Arena leading other five games to follow.
