Vipers SC are the 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup champions.

This is after they clobbered BUL FC 8-1 in the final played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Last season’s UPL topscorer Yunus Sentamu had a haul, Cesar Manzoki had a brace while Livingstone Mulondo and Milton Karisa had a goal each as the Venoms run to a comprehensive victory.

Mulondo handed Venoms a dream start when he headed in in the third minute of the game which set the platform for the side to win a nine-goal thriller.

25 minutes into the game, Sentamu got his first game with a well taken strike after nice work by Paul Willa.

Manzoki then netted two goals in three minutes to ensure the Venoms went into the break with a commanding 4-0 lead. The first came in 35 minute, tapping in a Milton Karisa’s cross before holding off a defender on to net his second two minutes afterwards.

Immediately after the break, Sentamu added his second of the game before completing his hat-trick ten minutes into the second.

He got his fourth of the game in the 67th minute.

Before Sentamu’s fourth goal, Karisa also got on the scoresheet with a deflected freekick that caught Musa Esenu unaware in the BUL goal. Esenu had replaced Sanon Mulabi in between the sticks for BUL.

Hamis Tabita pulled a goal back for BUL in the 73rd minute.

Vipers have now won their Second Uganda Cup title and their first since 2015.
