TWC Cyling Limited has organized the 2023 regional Cyling race that will take place around the Kabaka’s Palace in Mengo, Ring road on Sunday 26th November.
With a closed road to the cars and boda bodas, the race will be exercised in three different categories the first being the elite where the riders will go round for 105km which are equivalent to 30 laps.
The Girls and Elderly will ride only 2km which are equivalent to 7 laps.
At a press conference organized at the Sanyuka Restaurant on Monday morning, the managing Director of the proud patners Together We Can cycling Mr Ssebakaaki Solomon confirmed dates and prizes to be won;
“This competition will be between the regions all around the country, we are already having riders on their way to Kampala with hope that they will have reached by Monday evening”
“TWC alongside the cyclers is ready to give you a great experience on 26th November, however we are still registering now till Friday and will be giving out the numbers from Friday 24th to Saturday 25th.”
“The winner will be getting a Land title from the Century Property and Real estates Ltd, the first runner up, a Boda boda, runner up a COW.”
“To be different from all the sporting events around the country the fourth and Fifth will also be awarded with a sofa-set of Chairs and Fridge respectively. Those from sixth to tenth will be awarded with Mountain bikes.”
On Sunday the cyclists will have to come as early as 7am -and have a meeting at 9 before the start of the race.
Talking to a representative the Uganda Cycling Association, he came out to confirm that all the requirements have been met;
“The requirements required for the tournament have been met and we hope to have a good race on Sunday”
“These kind of races help the cyclists to prépare for upcoming races( Rwanda and Switzerland), we already have Charles Kagimu who is going to represent Uganda at the Olympics so we would love more like him.”
This will TWC’s the first time to organize a race at this place and as an Company.
