2023 Netball WC: She Cranes finish 5th and top of Africa

Uganda Women’s National Netball team, She Cranes serve a cold dish revenge to South Africa to become Number One and fifth in Africa and World respectively at the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town.

The She Cranes beat hosts by two points 49-47 in an act of revenge after earlier losing to the same side by two points in the preliminaries.

Therefore Uganda finishes fifth, the team’s best ever finish at a World Cup which will see them being ranked the highest at the continent.

In today’s game, Mary Nuba finished the game  as the highest scorer for Uganda 29 goals only for Shadiah Nassanga and Irene Eyalu to compliment the scoreline with (ten)10 goals each.

At the end, Margret Baagala who missed the loss against South Africa was taken off unconscious despite having contributed 21 assists in the game.
