Sand Cranes head Jamal Salim Muwonge has named Uganda’s provisional squad in preparations of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Comoros.
The squad that comprises of 20 players was revealed by Jamal on Wednesday morning at FUFA House in Mengo.
Most of these summoned 20 players played at the 2021 AFCON in Senegal last year.
The team will enter into a residential camp on Wednesday evening at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
The first leg will be played between 22nd-24th July in Comoros while the return leg will happen between 5th-7th August in Uganda with the winner on aggregate qualifying to the final tournament.
The 2022 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations will be held from 21st to 30th October 2022 in Maputo, Mozambique.
Uganda will attempt to return to the coveted tournament for the second time in a row after they reached semifinals on their debut.
