The long awaited kick off for the 2020/21 FUFA Big League has been tentatively set for the March 18th, 2021
This was confirmed during the FUFA consultative meeting with the second division clubs at Jevine Hotel on Friday, 26 February 2020.
The meeting was addressed by the FUFA Vice president Darius Mugoye who was flanked by Executive Committee member Hamid Juma (Chairman Competitions Committee)
The Big League was scheduled to kickoff in October last year but was indefinitely postponed in January until an agreement on management of COVID-19 SOPs was reached.
Maroons, Tooro United and Proline were set to play in Big League after they were relegated from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League that was ended prematurely last year.
Furthermore, Four team qualified to the FUFA Big league from the Regional league as Luwero United (Buganda Region), Gaddafi (Eastern Region), Terrazo and Tiles (Western Region) and Calvary (West Nile Region) qualified from for the forthcoming season.
In the same meeting, FUFA confirmed the teams in both the Elgon and Rwenzori groups.
