10-man Tooro United humbles wasteful KCCA FC

0

10-man Tooro United overcome defending champions Kcca FC 1-0 at St. Paul seminary grounds in Fort portal.

KCCA FC had the best chance to put the game at their disposal in the 31st minute when defender Mike Kawooya handed the ball at the goal line which saw him being sent off and Kcca was awarded a penalty taken by Mike Mutyaba for which goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige pulled out a heroic save to deny Kcca a goal.

A few minutes later Mike Mutyaba tried to dribble past defender Steven Luswata who made a reckless challenge on him in a forbidden area to give the visitors a second penalty but saving penalties seemed to be a norm for goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige as he saved Allan Okello’s penalty.

Willy Kavuma paved way for Fredrick Kigozi of Tooro United to ensure the team had a good balance in the line of defense.

In the 78th minute forward Charles Musiige dribbled past defender John Revita to give the home team a hard-fought lead.

This defeat sends the kasasiro boys in 10th place with 6points while Tooro United moves to 5th place with 9points

Tooro United will host Kyetume Fc in matchday 7 this Saturday 5th October 2019 while Kcca will wish to bounce back against Bright stars Fc at their home in Lugogo.
