Warriors pose to upset City Oilers in NBL semi-final playoffs

Warriors will hope to cause an upset when they take on City Oilers tonight in FUBA NBL playoff semi-finals game I encounter

Ronnie’s side will have to be well organized both defensively and offensively against the six-time defending champions City Oilers as they come into the contest as outright underdogs.

Warriors held an 18-4 record in the regular season while the Oilers had a 19-3 regular-season record

The two sides last met in the regular season and both won a game each with Warriors taking the first game courtesy of a 68-66 win over oilers and Oilers won the return fixture with an 83-57 in the second game.

Coach Ronnie Mutebi is so confident that his side will upset the Oilers after the 5 games.

I believe this is our time”

Said Mutebi.

We foresaw this moment even before this year’s season started and that’s why we intentionally recruited the players we have.

We have prepared for this encounter since day one.

Of course they’re the 6 times defending champions but that’s history and clearly we don’t want to live in the past.

We are hungry for victory and come game time, we will give our best to ensure we achieve our goal.”

Mutebi added.

UCU lady Cannons will take on KCCA Leopards in the other game of the night.
