Angolan defensive midfielder Nzau Miguel Lutumba might be following departed head coach Leonard Martins Neiva through the exit doors of St. Mary’s Kitende stadium.
Having joined Vipers SC in January after parting ways with Bangladesh side Uttara FC. Nzau won the league and Cup double at vipers last season but he has been frustrated with limited playing time.
Despite being signed to bolster Vipers’ defensive setup, Nzau has struggled to secure a spot in the starting XI, facing tough competition from former Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko and his impressive partnership with Patrick Mbowa who joined thus season from URA FC.
Adding to the challenge is the presence of Sirage Ssentamu, a defensive mainstay in the team.
With Nzau’s contract set to expire on January 1st, sources reveal that Vipers SC has been hesitant to renew his contract, leaving the Angolan midfielder contemplating his next move.
Table leaders BUL FC and KCCA FC, have both expressed interest in the player, with his present potential destinations being the two giants.
Interestingly, Nzau has expressed a preference for joining KCCA FC, where he would reunite with fellow Angolans Adilson Bruno Mfulu, Emilson Gonzaga and Cungulo Da Silva.
However, he remains conflicted emphasizing his desire to continue as a Vipers SC player, claiming his heart is still at Kitende.
