SC Villa bounced back from defeat with a 2-1 win against BUL FC at the Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku on Thursday evening.
Both Ronald Ssekiganda and Hakim Kiwanuka were on target as Jogoos managed to edge the Jinja side whose consolation goal was scored by Dickson Mataama.
In a game was attended by both the previous and present Uganda Cranes coaches, Ssekiganda’s opener came through a header as early as the 17th minute after a cross by Hakim Kiwanuka.
The second came in four minutes after restart when Ssekiganda returned the favor of being assisted only for Kiwanuka to earn his other goal of the campaign.
Twenty (20) minutes to the 90’, Dickson Mataama managed to pull one back but it wasn’t enough to level the score.
This victory meant that SC Villa maintain their 100% record at home season with 2 wins in 2 home games while BUL keep on the search for the first win of the campaign.
SC Villa will play their next game away in Kitende against Vipers SC on Saturday 5th October while BUL welcome Mbarara City in Najjembe on Wednesday 2nd October.
In the other game of the day, Lugazi FC managed to tie down Vipers to a 0-0 draw at the Lugazi Stadium in Najjembe, surprising result that hails Venoms head coach Nikola Kavazovic’s job in suspense.
Vipers this season have only managed two loses and a win in their home fixture. The Kitende side will take on SC Villa on 5th October.
