Entebbe UPPC made it two wins from two after edging 10-man UPDF 2-1 at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Tuesday to maintain their perfect start to the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.

The Printers, who stunned defending champions Vipers 1-0 at Kitende in their opening game, showed character to come from behind and claim another three points.

UPDF took the lead in the 20th minute when Derrick Taremwa headed home Robert Kitabalwa’s corner.

UPPC responded before half-time, with left-back Thomas Ochungo heading in Ibrahim Mugulusi’s free-kick to level the game.

The hosts could have gone into the break ahead, but Sharif Ssengendo headed over from close range after Steven Munguchi’s cut-back.

UPPC completed the comeback 20 minutes from time when substitute Ambrose Kigozi was brought down in the box by Aggrey Kirya. Kigozi stepped up to convert the penalty and put the Printers 2-1 ahead.

UPDF were reduced to 10 men in the 75th minute after Swaibu Kalule was sent off for a professional foul on impressive Congo-Brazzaville midfielder Reich Triomphe Kokolo.

Kokolo nearly added a third for UPPC late on but was denied by UPDF goalkeeper Richard Anyama in a one on one situation.

UPPC held on for maximum points, taking their tally to six from two matches.

They will host Lugazi FC at Hamz Stadium on September 9, while UPDF visit Police FC at Kira Police Arena on September 10.
