UPL: Ahimbisibwe brace brings URA back to winning ways

Four days after sacking their head coach, David Obua, Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored two goals as URA edged NEC 2-0 at the Kabaka kyabagu stadium.

In the 6th minute, Ahimbisibwe utilised Norman Namanya’s pass, putting the ball into the back of the net from the opposite side’s box.

Two minutes after restarting the second half, Moses Aliro delivered a cross which Ahimbisibwe headed into the back of the back completing his brace.

Into the game, the hosts started both the first and second half on a high note through Joseph Ssemujju, Moses Aliro, Ahimbisibwe which resulted into the quick goals in the 6th and 47th minutes.

NEC were dominant in the remaining minutes of the game through Geriga Atendele, Joseph Dhata, Okocha who delivered several crosses and shots.

URA moved to the eighth position with 34 points while the while NEC stays in the fifth position with 40 points.

The Die hards will host BUL on 24th April at the MTN Omondi stadium while the Tax collectors will return to the Kabaka kyabagu stadium on 1st May to host relegation strikened Busoga United.
