Police FC 0-0 UPDF FC
Police FC and UPDF FC played out a goalless draw in the Armed Forces derby on matchday three of the 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League at the Kira Road Police Arena.
Both sides created several chances but failed to find the decisive finish. Police came close early on through Ivan Mayanja, whose effort was deflected for a corner before he set up new signing Samuel Ssekamatte Kayongo, only for his shot to be blocked.
UPDF’s best opportunity came in the 30th minute when Kakande’s half-volley was cleared off the line by Police defender Dennis Jakony.
Police also threatened through Farouk Matovu, while UPDF forward Bedia Ikamba missed a free header from Stephen Namaisi’s cross in the 73rd minute.
The hosts made several changes in the second half, including introducing Emmanuel Mugume and Charles Bbaale, but neither side could break the deadlock. Police’s final chance fell to Lawrence Tezikya in stoppage time, but his effort went straight at UPDF goalkeeper Shamulan Kamya.
The result gives Police four points from three matches, while UPDF remain winless with two points from a possible nine.
