The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) has come out to support the boxing national team (Bombers) with food in this lockdown situation.
On Tuesday afternoon, UBF General Secretary Simon Barigo handed over the food relief to the team manager, Zebra ‘Mando’ Ssenyange, and team captain Shadir Musa Bwogi at the Federations’ Horizon Offices in Lugogo.
The support will go out to the 26 boxers, 12 coaches, the two team doctors, the team manager, and other support staff on the Bombers’ team.
“The Federation has today decided to support the bombers team with an assortment of foodstuffs which includes; posho, rice, sugar and beans that can see them through this Lockdown”
This is the second phase of the donation going out to the bombers team, the Federation also donated health and medical products which included soap and masks for the boxers to keep themselves safe from the COVID-19 disease in this lockdown period.
The bombers captain Shadir Musa was thankful to the Federation president Moses Muhangi for the support during this situation.

The UBF is still tasked with helping the Tokyo 2020 qualifiers bound team to keep fit as the wait for the return of sport continues.
The UBF becomes the latest sports organization to support to offer support to its team and staff during this coronavirus crisis-driven lockdown.
