Tonny Drileba: Silverback star brings home Ubuntu trophy

Tonny Drileba was awarded the Ubuntu Trophy by Basketball Africa League (BAL).

This award recognizes players who have made a significant impact on their communities.

As a result, BAL will now donate $5,000 to a charitable organization of Drilleba’s choice in Uganda.

The City Oilers point guard uplifts lives of youth in Uganda’s slums.

Through his role as a coach with Holystreet Outreach, a non-profit organization, Drilleba has transformed countless lives, providing education and hope through basketball.

Over 500 children in slums like Kamwokya, Katanga, and Kawempe benefit from his training sessions, receiving not only a meal but also an opportunity to escape the challenges surrounding them through life changing opportunities like school scholarships.
