Tito Okello spits venom, Vipers restore 5 points advantage

Forward Tito Okello netted his first hat trick as Vipers SC narrowly beat BUL FC 3-2 at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru to restore a 5 points advantage over KCCA FC.

BUL had the first real goalscoring chance but Robert Mukongotya long range strike went a few inches wide.

In the 20th minute, BUL FC defender Denis Okot bought down Tito Okello In the forbidden area to gift the visitors a spot kick.

Tito Okello stepped up and placed the ball into the back of net to give the venoms the games’ lead.

Tito Okello doubled Vipers lead In the 28th minute after a well calculated Fabien Mutombora’s long pass.

2 minutes later on , BUL FC got a goal back through  a Fredson Gwoto’s  strike  before Mukongotya completed a comeback after Vipers goalie Mutombora failed to deal with Brain Nkuubi back-pass  in the 35th minute to send the home fans into jubilations.

The game went into the halftime break with the scores tied despite Vipers having a great piece of the game’s possession.

Tito Okello completed his hat trick  15 minutes from the death of the game with a  neatly sublime finish past goalie Sanon Mulabi off a Dan Sserunkuma assist.

Vipers SC have now restored their 5 points advantage over their nearest challengers KCCA FC.

Vipers sit atop of Uganda Premier league log with 49 points in 21 games and will face KCCA FC on 18th February 2020 at St. Marys Stadium, Kitende.

BUL awful form in second round continues having lost 4 of their 5 second round game and now sit 6th with 30 points.
