Tax Collectors Target Redemption Against High-Flying UPPC
URA FC will be desperate to end their three-match losing streak when they host in-form Entebbe UPPC FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
The Tax Collectors have endured a difficult start to the campaign, sitting 15th on the table with three points, while Entebbe UPPC occupy third place with 10 points.
URA head coach Jimmy Kintu has challenged his players to respond positively and turn their fortunes around, insisting that his side must build on the positives from their recent defeat to KCCA FC.
“We badly need to end this run. There were some positives from the game against KCCA which we lost, and we want to build on that,” Kintu said ahead of the encounter.
However, Kintu expects a difficult contest against Entebbe UPPC, praising the organisation and technical ability of head coach Abdallah Mubiru’s side.
“They are one of the best-coached sides, and it will be a tough game against them, but we have no option but to try and win,” he added.
URA could make changes to their starting lineup, with injuries in central defence presenting a concern. Kintu will also assess the fitness of his players before naming his team for the crucial encounter.
The Tax Collectors will be determined to use home advantage to secure a much-needed victory and revive their league campaign.
