StarTimes UPL : URA return to winning way with victory over Mbarara City

Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club ( URA FC) has returned to running ways after edging past Mbarara City 2-0 in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League played at Arena of Visions in Ndejje on Wednesday.

Shafik Kagimu and Ibrahim Dada Juma were on target in either half respectively for the Tax Collectors to collect maximum points points.

URA had not won their last four-games since defeating Vipers.

Kagimu broke the deadlock in the opening half, rebounding in his intial shot that he had hit the post after being brilliantly found by Steven Mukwala.

With 12 minute to the death of the game, substitute Dada, who came on for Mukwala after hour mark doubled the Tax Collectors lead.

Dada converted from the spot after another substitute, Kabon Living was fouled in the box by Hillary Mukundane.

After that, Mbarara City tried to pull a goal back but that wasn’t possible as URA held on for their fourth win of the 2021/22 season.

URA now sits on the log with 17 points in 10 games while Mbarara City are two places below in 10th with 14 points.

Elsewhere, Arua Hills shocked Wakiso Giants 2-1 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakisha.

Gaddafi Gadinho and Alfred Leku were on target for Arua Hill while Tom Matsiko got Wakiso Giants consolation.

Arua Hill leapfrog Wakiso Giants to fourth position on the log with 21 points in 12 games.
