StarTimes UPL: Ssenkatuka nets brace as Bright Stars foist second loss on Express

Nelson Ssekantuka netted both goals for Soltilo Bright Stars as they defeated Express FC 2-0 in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played on Tuesday morning at Wankulukuku.

The striker’s first came in the 10th minute after he rounded off Express FC goalkeeper Denis Otim to net into an empty net

While his second came midway the opening half after acting fast to pounce on a deflected Noordin Bunjo’s shot.

Before the second goal though, Express FC were reduced to 10 men after Daniel Shabena was sent off after a reckless foul on Fiat Cleophas.

The Red Eagles got a chance to pull atleast a goal back early on in the second half, but Allan Kayiwa rattled the crossbar from the penalty spot.

Victory takes Soltilo Bright Stars to 7th place on the log with 11 points while Express remain 5th with 14 points.

Express will play Wakiso Giants next while Bright Stars will host BUL.
