Uganda Premier League side Soltilo Bright Stars have parted ways with Head coach Baker Mbowa.

This was confirmed on Tuesday evening by the club in a letter seen by this website.

The club says that the decision was reached due “to results and performance not being at the level required”

Mbowa leaves the club second from bottom, having garnered a single point in four games this season.

Assistant coach Simon Peter Mugerwa will take charge of the team on interim basis until a new coach is confirmed.

Mbowa becomes the second manager to be sacked this season after Douglas Bamweyana resigned from his role at Wakiso Giants.

Mbowa helped the Stars finish fifth on the log last season, behind Express FC, URA FC, Vipers SC and KCCA FC.
