StarTimes UPL: KCCA set to stretch lead up top

An inconsistent Arua Hill hasn’t been kind to giants so far most especially at Barifa and will hope for more of the same when they visit KCCA at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday at 4pm.

Arua Hill won the first round 3-1 in October last year after goals from Isaac Ogwang, Rashid Toha and Rashid Kawawa.

The Kongolo have won 7 games so far and this time will hope to come with more strength to beat Log Leaders KCCA who finished second last season with hope that they can win the current campaign.

Livingstone Mbabazi’s men have flattered to deceive after commanding performances against some teams and Poor one too, something that is portrayed in their statics this season.

The men from Arua have won seven, drawn two and lost five.

On the other side, KCCA who won their last game away to Wakiso Giants to maintain their spot at the top and with second and third placed BUL FC  and Vipers not in action until the next match day.

Having left the first leg without a goal to any of the KCCA Players, this time round it will be a different situation since the Lugogo side are looking to stretch the lead up top.

The will also be boasted by the return of roving left back Mustafa Kizza who is set to make his second league debut since left.

KCCA Coach Morley Byekwaso says his side is in good shape and wants to win beautifully against a team full of experience;

“We are in good shape. We have recovered well from the cup game and we want to give our fans a good game.” he said

“We want to win our games but also to win beautifully by putting up a convincing display for our fans.” he concluded

The hosts lead the standings with 32 points, three above BUL who are on 29 after they were held at Bombo on Tuesday while Arua Hill are 6th with 23 points.

What would a win do?

A win for KCCA will stretch the lead up top to six points while for Arua Hill it will take them to 4th onto 26 points.

Team news.

KCCA will hope to have Julius Poloto back after he returned to training with hope he can return to full training.

For Moses Waiswa and Geoffrey Wasswa who missed the Uganda Cup game against Kataka, they will be up for selection.

Arua Hill will be without captain Rashid Toha through injury.
