The Startimes Uganda Premier League second round returns with two games on Thursday as Log leaders KCCA pay courtesy visit to Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu, Wakiso
With a win in the first round, KCCA FC will be looking forward to making a double over the Wakiso side.
They will hope to utilize the services of returnee and roving left back Mustafa Kizza who will add to their creativity going forward.
The Kasasiro boys sit top of the table with 29 points in 14 games
On the other side Wakiso Giants will not have most of their players from the first round, some having joined other clubs and others with the U20 squad.
They will hope to put up a challenge against the Lugogo side with a boost of a few signings but most notably Tom Masiko, Bashir Ssekagya, Moses Aliro and new signing Paul Willa will all be facing their former Club.
Ahead of the game, Wakiso Giants head coach John Luyinda Ayala spoke to the Club media saying his side will miss Kasule but it won’t be an excuse;
“We were a little pleased with our performance in the first round. Kasule was one of our best players and although we shall miss him, we can’t use that as an excuse to stop performing.” he said
“We have players within that we feel can replicate what he did in the youngsters Marvin Nyanzi, Marvin Mukiibi and Titus Ssematimba to give us results.” he added
“We are playing a good side with quality but we have a motivator that we are playing at home where we have done well so and we feel the home crowd will push us.”he concluded
The Purple Sharks lay 4th of the log with 25 points, four behind their opponents on the day.
Last game.
Wakiso Giants drew their last game at home 1-1 with Arua Hill while KCCA lost 1-0 away at the Soltilo Bright Stars.

The home side will be without four of their stars in Titus Ssematimba, Ronald Madoi and Apollo Kagogwe who are with Uganda Hippos tea preparing for AFCON U20 plus new recruit Lincoln Mukisa’s who hasn’t received his license.
For Paul Willa he is injury free and set to make his debut infront of the Purple Sharks fans.
On the side of KCCA, Julius Poloto, Ashraf Mugume and Denis Iguma are injured and will not play just like Peter Magambo as he waits documentation issues
