Arua Hill SC suffered their fourth straight loss in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after losing 2-0 to Gaddafi FC in a game played at Kakindu Stadium on Wednesday.
They succumbed to the loss courtesy of Alex Kitata and Brian Kalumba goals which all happened in the closing half.
Arua Hill finished the game a man less than after Paul Musamali was sent off for a second bookable offense on Geofrey Lwesibawa.
But before that, Kitata had given Gaddafi the breakthrough controversially after tapping in from Lwesibawa cross. In the build-up to the goal, Gaddafi quickly started the freekick from a wrong place from a foul area which caused protests from the Arua Hill players.
With a man’s advantage, Gaddafi doubled their lead in the 76th minute after capitalizing on poor defending by Arua Hill’s Bright Vuni and goalkeeper Richard Anyama to slot into an empty net.
With the victory, Gaddafi moves up the table with 12 points garnered in eight games and will play KCCA next
Arua Hill meanwhile drop to 10th place on the log with 10 points in eight games.
In the other game of the day, top-placed Wakiso Giants were held to a nil-nil stalemate by Onduparaka.
