Vipers SC and Solito Bright stars progressed to the round of 16 of the 49th edition through penalties after defeating Jinja north United FC and Mbale Heroes respectively
Vipers won 6-7 on penalties after a full time goalless draw against Jinja North United at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe.
The last two time finalists, Vipers eliminated Bujumbura United FC in the round of 64 while the Big league side, Jinja North United eliminated Busei FC in Iganga district
Else where Solito Bright stars picked up a 4-3 penalty win against Mbale Heroes at the Mbale Municipal stadium due to a 1-1 draw
Bright stars eliminated non- league side, Nakapelimen FC in Moroto in the round of 64 while Mbale Heroes eliminated Araka FC in Mbale
In the other game played Mbarara city FC won 1-0 against Admin FC at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara to progress to the round of 16
