Silverbacks: twelve home-based players summoned for FIBA AfroBasket second window qualifiers preps


Twelve home-based players have been summoned by the Team Uganda (Silverbacks) management to start training ahead of the upcoming FIBA AfroBasket 2021 second window qualifiers.

Seven player who competed in the first qualifying window in Alexandria, Egypt have joined five other players to start preparations for the second window due 19th-21st February 2021.

The five players who joined up the squad include: Fayed Baale, Innocent Ochera, Cesar Kizito, Ivan Muhwezi and Peter Obleng.

The Silverbacks, who will be managed by Mandy Juruni, Andrew Tendo and Brian Wathum will start non-residental training on Tuesday, December 15th 2020 at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The Silverbacks put incredible performance in the first window in Egypt, garnering 5 points in group E having won two of three games played (beating Cape Verde and Morocco).
