She Cranes withdraw from the African Netball championship


The Ugandan national netball team, she cranes has withdrawn from the African netball championship that started on Sunday 26th November in Botswana

This come after the World Netball putting up a normalization committee headed by Mr Moses Mwase due to the recent leadership and governance wrangles in the Uganda Netball Federation.

The wrangles in the federation started when the minister of education and sports, Hon Janet Museveni decided to put aside the federation president, Babirye Sarah Kityo, replacing her with Brigadier Flavia Bwekyaso as the interim leader after she failed to account for government funds.

As the wrangles escalated, the National Council of Sports withdrew the federation’s certificate of recognition.

Uganda are the 2022 champions of the Africa Netball Championships after bringing the trophy from Namibia.
