Review: KCCA FC put 4 past Proline as SUPL first round comes to an end


Midfield maestro Allan Okello scored a second half brace to help his side KCCA FC cruise past bottom side Proline FC 4-0 at Startimes Staduim, Lugogo on Tuesday evening.

The defending champions started the game in second place on the standings of the SUPL log with 29 points, 7 adrift current leaders Vipers SC While the hosts Proline FC were rooted at the bottom at 9 points.

In the 18th minutes, KCCA FC came close to opening the score but Allan Okello’s effort went wide after dancing through Proline’s defense.

A few minutes later, Sam Ssenyonjo overhead kick didnt connect well with the ball to deny the visitors a well deserved lead into the game.

Just before the halftime whistle, Teenage Sam Ssenyonjo struck for the KCCA FC to break the deadlock and give the ‘visitors’ the lead before halftime.

KCCA FC continued with their first half dominance in second half and were rewarded a second goal courtesy of a returning Nicholas Kasozi to double the scoreline in the 68th minute.

Seven minutes afterwards, Allan Okello got his name to the scoresheet with a clinical finish assisted by off Sam Ssenyonjo.

At the death of the game, Allan Okello completed his brace to pile more misery on the Coachless Proline FC.

Teenager Sam Ssenyonjo has now atleast scored or assisted in all his 4 League games for KCCA FC this season. (3 goals and 5 assists).

The game also marked the return of long term absentee Julius Poloto who was nursing a knee injury since the first games kciked off earlier in August.

The win takes KCCA to 32 points, 4 away log leaders Vipers SC while the losers Proline FC remain bottom on 9 points garnered in 15 games.
