Bright Stars FC hosts Police FC on matchday 15 of the Startimes Uganda Premier League today at Bombo Barracks Grounds in Bombo at in a lunch time kick-off at 1:00 pm.
Bright Stars are on a slide again after losing two league games in a succession and winning only once in the Fourteen league engagements this season.
Police are usually accommodating opponents in these circumstances, even though their recent away form has been poor and their visit to Bright Stars last season ended in a one-all settlement.
The Cops won their last game in which they annihilated Tooro United FC 4-0 at Lugogo on Tuesday, though Abdallah Mubiru is under a certain amount of pressure at the moment and cannot afford to be overtaken on the table by today’s opponents.
Bright Stars are facing a string of poor performances and remain the only side to draw more games in League with Seven draws out of the Fourteen games they’ve played.
The cops sit in 15th place on a log of sixteen teams with 8-points accumulated in thirteen games, while Bright Stars sit in the 14th place with 10-points amassed in Fourteen games, 2-points ahead of Police.
The return of midfielder Andrew Samson Kigozi who scored a brace in the previous games has greatly boosted the Cops’ side while Bright Stars will rely on individual brilliance.
