Police FC will make a short trip to the Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium to face Wakiso Giants FC on Saturday afternoon knowing that victory will be enough to move out of the relegation zone.

The cops are currently 14th on the table having won just two of their 8 outings this season, while the Purple Sharks sit 7th with an impressive home record of five wins in 7 games this season.

As well as having the opportunity to move four points clear of Ankole Lions, the Purple Sharks could move into the top six if they prevail in this clash.

This will be Livingston Mbabazi’s first game in charge of the Wakiso based side after joining them earlier in November from Onduparaka FC.

Wakiso Giants assistant coach Baker Kasule is optimistic ahead of this encounter and is positive they stand a better chance in tomorrow’s encounter. Via the Club’s official website, Kasule said;

We have had good preparations and we hope to give our fans a good spectacle. Our target is to improve on the first round results and lift the team to a better position.

He also enlightened on the injury concerns at the club

The camp is good save for Kirizestom Ntambi who is injured and Tom Masiko who returned to training but will not be available for selection on Saturday. The rest are fine and available.

The cops won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Startimes Stadium in Lugogo with Ben Ocen and Pius Kaggwa scoring for the home side, while Viane Ssekajugo scored for the only goal for the Purple sharks.
