Paul Muccurezi joins Vipers SC

Vipers SC has completed the signing of 27-year old Cranes International Paul Muccurezi.

The lanky attacking midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-year deal that will see him feature for the Venoms until 2023 with an option for a further year.

The 27 year old failed to renew his contract at Mbarara City FC after its expiration in December, 2019 and joins Vipers SC as a free agent

Muccurezi said on the Club’s website

I have enjoyed my time at Mbarara City FC enormously and l have learned alot there. But I’m looking forward to another journey now with the Venoms. I’m keen to get started and make my contribution to the team’s efforts to win trophies.

Vipers SC head Coach Edward Golola confirmed that Muccurezi is the type of player the club needed during this window and he believes he will help them consolidate their spot at the top of the Startimes Uganda Premier League

Mucureezi is one of the best wingers or forwards in the Uganda Premier League. He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Vipers SC and he fits exactly the type of player we were looking for to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further. I am delighted he has signed with us.

Paul Mucureezi has previously featured for Vipers’ archrivals KCCA FC before moving on to join Mbarara City FC.

He will now have to compete with Bobos Byaruhanga, Abdulkarim Wantambara and Allan Kayiwa for a spot in Golola’s starting team.
