Shadir Musa Bwogi and David Ssemujju have been called back to the National team to represent Uganda at the Upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers in Senegal, Dakar.
The two boxers represented the country at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics are among the 9 that have returned to the National team that was called by the Uganda Olympics Committee.
Having joined the paying ranks, both Bwogi and Ssemujju had been off the national team since they had fallen out with the Uganda Boxing Federation because they were not involved in the Uganda Boxing Champions League.
The rest Bombers list has released by UOC and this gives them a chase to once again exhibit their boxing skills at the Olympics.
Other Boxers were that will be involved in the late preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics due next month in Dakar, Senegal were picked from the Champions League week 8 however much most of the names were altered.
Kyobe Jonah was chosen unlike Khassim Mulungi who beat the former Olympian at the Elimination bouts in the Boxing Champions League.
Therefore It is said that the list that reached UOC didn’t have Ssemujju and Bwogi who have since joined professional boxing but their names were forcefully added as reserves.
However more reports state that the Uganda Boxing Federation asked the Uganda Olympic Committee for funds to stage bouts to know the fitness and ability of the two Boxers but wasn’t replied.
