City Oilers registered their fifth consecutive victory of the season thanks to a 75-68 victory over Power Basketball Club

Despite Powers’ resilience, Oilers managed to win thanks to double digits posted by 4 of their starters. Tusker player of the game – Tony Drileba finished the game with 15 points and 6 rebounds, James Okello and Ivan Lumanyika had 12 each while Jimmy Enabu had 10.

In a tightly contested game, Oilers raced to a 21-18 after the first quarter.

They increased their lead to seven at half time ( 38-31), but Powers grew into the contest and won the third quarter 20-19 to take the score to 57-51.

Power led by Innocent Ochera closed the gap to two points at some point in the last quarter but several loss of possessions late on derailed them of a victory.

On the losing effort for Power, Ochera finished the game with a game-high 21 points and 15 rebounds while Isaac Afidra and Dickson Asiku had 10 each.

In the next games, City Oilers will play high flying UCU Canons on Sunday while Power will take on JKL Dolphins.
