Makueth Wol signs for South Sudanese side

South Sudan forward Makueth Wol Akeen has been signed by Juba based side Kator FC on a professional contract.

Kator FC is part of the top flight of the South Sudan League system which was launched in 2011 in South Sudan despite the fact that they are still looking for their maiden trophy.

Makueth 22, most recently played for Mbarara City Football Club which was relagated from the Ugandan Premier League in the 2021/22 campaign where he played for the last seven seasons, guiding them to their semi finals Stanbic Uganda Cup Trophy in season 2021/22 and promotion to top flight football.

The forward rose through the ranks at Kitende based Citizen High School after representing them in the Uganda Senior Secondary Schools championships.

Makueth is graduate from the South Sudan’s U-20 national team where he scored six goals; two coming in the AFCON U-20 qualifiers and the four in the 2019 CECAFA U-20 tournament hosted by Uganda in Gulu (Pece War Memorial Stadium) and FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

He has so far played six international matches for Bright Stars (426 minutes) and he is yet to find the back of the net.

He has been among the center forwards at Ankole Lions alongside Henry Kitegenyi and Jude Ssemugabi.
