Lwaliwa returns, but can Kajoba overcome his nemesis, KCCA FC?

Viper SC skipper Halid Lwaliwa has returned to full training after a month on the sidelines, missing the club’s last 5 games.

The 23 year old defender is back in time for the top of the table clash against KCCA FC which is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, 18th February at St. Marys Stadium, Kitende.

The Venoms sit atop of the SUPL log on 49 points in 21 matches while the Kasasiro boys are second, only 5 points below the leaders.

Whereas Vipers have had a fine run at the top with a fine transition from Golola – winning 2 and only drawing 1 in their last 3 games under Kajoba, can Kajoba overcome his nemesis KCCA FC to maintain The Venom’s run?

Vipers SC and KCCA FC have met on 29 different league occasions with each winning 11 wins while 7 have ended in Stalemates, however, current Vipers’ head coach Fred Kajoba attest he’s had a poor run against the defending champions.

The gaffer who joined the Kitende based side in January, is winless against the Current holders, KCCA FC  in his last 11 games having lost 7 and drawn 4.

Kajoba’s last task against KCCA FC ended goalless  while he was at Bright Stars.

Kajoba hopes to end his poor run against KCCA FC and targets 3 points on Tuesday evening so as  to extend the venoms lead atop of the SUPL to 8 points. A loss for Vipers SC would trim the gap to only 2 points.

One of the biggest problems Kajoba faces as he goes against Mike Mutebi’s KCCA FC, is the decision for who starts upfront. Fahad Bayo, the team’s top scorer has gone silent for the last 3 games under the new tactician while former Kasasiro Tito showed he can be lethal infront of goal after netting a hattrick against BUL FC away in Njeru. Can Kajoba trust Okello over Bayo?

The other side that Kajoba will have to deal with is the left side following the suspension of Aziz Kayondo who will sit out this game in particular after accumulating 3 yellow cards while Farouk Musisi also remains sidelined with injury. Will Kajoba go with a 3-man defence or employ there another person to curb the threat to be caused by fellow venom Erisa Ssekisambu?

Will Kajoba start new signing Milton Karisa ahead Inocent Wafula? The Kenyan winger who was just a squad member under Golola, has started 2  of  last 3 league games under Kajoba
