URA FC head coach Jimmy Kintu took home a couple of positives despite suffering a third consecutive league loss after losing by a 1-0 score against KCCA FC at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo of Friday evening.

Kintu praised his players for their high-intensity performance as he felt that his team deserved something from the game but failed to make the most of its opportunities.
He explained that the team approached the match with a different tactical plan, aiming to put KCCA FC under pressure rather than spend the game chasing their opponents.
“We wanted to play at the highest level of intensity. We didn’t want to be chasing KCCA rather for them to chase us as we didn’t want to make them comfortable with anything,” he said.
However, he admitted that although the team succeeded in raising the intensity of the game, they struggled to maintain their preferred style of play, particularly in their decision-making when using the ball.
He pointed to mistakes in deciding when to play long passes or keep possession with shorter passes as some of the areas that affected their performance.
The coach nevertheless commended his players for their physical commitment, revealing that the team uses GPS Catapult technology to monitor their performance and workload during training.

He said some players had demonstrated the ability to cover up to 12 kilometres, which he considered evidence that they could compete at the highest level.
According to the coach, maintaining that physical intensity while improving their style of play and finishing would be crucial to turning their performances into positive results.
He also acknowledged that the team’s current situation was disturbing, admitting that the recent results had raised questions. However, he insisted that there were still several positives to build on as they continued adapting to new ideas and approaches.
The coach noted that implementing changes within a team takes time, but stressed that the process must also produce results.
He described the recent matches as tough encounters against teams they believed they could compete with, insisting that the results were not inevitable because his side had created opportunities to win.
“We have chances of winning the games. We just need to take them,” he said.
URA FC have endured the painful start in the league siting in the 14th position on the log with just three points.
They have lost three consecutive league games in a 1-0 loss against KCCA FC, a 4-1 loss away against NEC FC before the international break and 1-0 loss against 10 man SC Villa.
Their only league points they have ccame from a 2-1 away victory against Maroons in Luzira as they are yet to win from home and will return to action against on-form Entebbe UPPC FC at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.
