KCCA FC have strengthened their midfield after completing the signing of defensive midfielder Yunus Sibira ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.
The Kasasiro Boys secured the services of the experienced midfielder following his impressive performances for Kitara FC, where he established himself as one of the league’s most consistent holding midfielders.

Sibira arrives at Lugogo after an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, featuring in 29 of Kitara’s 30 league matches. He contributed two goals and one assist while playing a pivotal role in the club’s successful Stanbic Uganda Cup triumph.
Known for his ball-winning ability, tactical discipline, and composure in possession, Sibira is expected to strengthen KCCA’s midfield following the departures of Joel Sserunjogi and Brian Jjara.
The midfielder brings a wealth of Uganda Premier League experience, having previously featured for Kitara FC, Buhimba United Saints, Mbarara City, and Gaddafi FC.
Sibira becomes KCCA’s latest signing in an active transfer window, joining Charles Lwanga, Maxwell Owachgiu and Elvis Ngonde as the club continues to build a competitive squad for the 2026/27 campaign.
