Kasozi Makes Surprise Return to Kitara FC

In a move that has surprised and excited the Kitara Football Club’s faithful, former Chief Executive Officer Deo Kasozi has returned to Kitara Football Club, just one month after his highly publicized departure from the club’s top administrative post.

The club announced on its official platforms that Kasozi has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Community Resource Mobiliser, a strategic position aimed at deepening the club’s roots and support within the kingdom and across the region. He is scheduled to begin his new duties on August 19, 2025.

Kasozi’s initial exit at the end of the 2024/25 season sent ripples through the Ugandan football community, as he was widely credited as a key architect behind the club’s remarkable recent success. Under his leadership, Kitara FC achieved a fairytale promotion to the Uganda Premier League and followed it up with a stunning fourth-place finish in their debut top-flight season, securing a coveted spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.

His return signals the club’s ambitious intentions to build a sustainable structure capable of competing on both domestic and continental fronts. The Board of Directors of Kitara Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kasozi Deo as the Chief Community Resource Mobiliser for a period of two (2) years, effective 19.08.2025.” In this role, Mr. Kasozi will spearhead the club’s efforts in mobilizing resources, strengthening partnerships, as well as driving community engagement programs that will support the growth and sustainability of Kitara FC.
