After a lot of talk of the defender leaving the Wankulukuku based side, Murushid Juuko aka ‘’The Sheriff” finally parts ways with Express FC.

The experienced centre back has been at Express for two seasons joining the team in the 2020/2021 campaign for one year which he later renewed at the beginning of season 2021/2022.

He exits the club as a Uganda Premier League and CECAFA Kagame Cup champion which he won with the club in the year of 2021.

Before exiting the club, Juuko extended his gratitude to the Club saying;

It has been the greatest two years of my stay at the club and in my Career – (The most successful) I may say. I leave with a lot memories and I will surely live to tell them. I leave the club with my chest high for the successes we reached. I thank everyone at the Club from the Top Management, Technical Team, Players, Welfare Team and Most importantly the Fans (Express Nation). Together we did a tremendous job – Mukwano Gwabangi.

The club CEO also had a number of great words to say about Juuko ;

He (Murushid) has been a great example to every player at the club, everyone loved his composure and focus. We are going to miss his services in the backline and most importantly his attitude towards every game that the red eagles played.

With all put in the past, Murushid will be looking for a new home. He has played for teams like; Bunamwaya, Victoria University, Sports Club Simba, Wydad Casablanca and also represented the Uganda National team senior team at 39 occasions, scoring one goal.
